Could Jesse James be a history buff considering the Nazi picture?

Friends who claim to have the inside scoop on the Jesse James Nazi picture say that Jesse James is “not a neo-Nazi” and that he is merely “a history buff,” according to The Huffington Post. Some may be able to laugh it off as something done for shock value, but even in private (which means “public” for most celebrities, whether they like it or not), is it responsible to even pretend you're a member of a Nazi paramilitary force responsible for numerous crimes against humanity? Any normal person would lose their job over a joke like this, making them be in line for payday loans after unemployment kicks in.

Sources such as the Huffington Post show the Jesse James Nazi salute, a spontaneous “seig heil” coming out from the SS officer's hat. It's all too serendipitous that Bombshell McGee was photographed wearing a swastika armband, isn't it? Both Jesse James and Bombshell McGee offered up the same defense, according to Us Weekly: They're simply history buffs who enjoy shockin' y'all. Brigitte Daguerre hasn't posed in Nazi paraphernalia, but there may be more bombshells to come from the mistress-photographer. Only her lawyer Gloria Allred knows for sure, but she's too distracted by the smell of extra cash. Sandra Bullock doesn't seem to think any of this is funny.

Jesse James, meet the Schutzstaffel.

Maybe we should give a brief history lesson. Wikipedia states that the Schutzstaffel, or SS, was a Nazi organization that was created by Hitler himself. The SS runic form can be seen in the above photo. It all started as a small paramilitary force, but grew into nearly 1 million men who enforced the political will of the third Reich as much as the Wehrmacht. Under the immediate command of Heinrich Himmler, the SS committed various atrocities that have been cataloged in both the annals of history and popular films such as “Schindler's List.”

The Nazi photo should never have been taken if it is true, as Us weekly claims, that Jesse James' stepmother's father escaped from a Nazi Death camp during WWII and that Jesse James cares one iota about that.
